For those customers not served by curbside collection, the public can self-haul garbage and recycling to one of the transfer stations or county container sites listed below. Open hours, fees and the materials accepted vary by location. Sites that pay for California Redemption Value (CRV) bottles and cans include: McKinleyville, Eureka, Fortuna & Redway. See other sites that pay CRV below under "Drop Off - Recycling Only." Remaining sites accept, but do not pay for, recyclables. Call the drop off site nearest you for additional information.

Drop Off - CRV Buy Back Locations

The following sites pay for California Redemption Value (CRV) materials. CRV refers to the state fee placed on certain BEVERAGE containers refunded when the containers are recycled. CRV values are set by state law. CRV items include Glass Bottles (CRV designated), Aluminum Cans, Bi-Metal Cans, Plastic Bottles (CRV designated).
