Electronic Waste

Electronic waste or “E-Waste” contains lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium and other heavy metals. When disposed in the landfill, these toxic materials can leach into our waterways and soil, damaging personal and environmental health.

The following items are considered E-Waste:

  • TVs
  • Computer Monitors
  • Printers
  • Computer Towers, Keyboards, Mice, Wires
  • Cell Phones

A variety of sites are available for E-waste drop off.  Fees apply at some drop offs. Call site for more information. HWMA also periodically offers free E-Waste collection events. Click here for our next event or call (707) 268-8030.
