Electronic Waste

Electronic waste or “E-Waste” may contain lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium or other heavy metals. When disposed in the landfill, these toxic materials can leach into our waterways and soil, damaging personal and environmental health.

Electronic waste may be brought to the Eureka Recycling Center during regular operating hours and disposed of for the cost of $0.05 per pound, with no minimum per transaction.

The following items are considered E-Waste:

  • TVs
  • Computer Monitors
  • Printers
  • Computer Towers, Keyboards, Mice, Wires
  • Cell Phones
  • Microwaves
  • Items with circuit boards or a digital face

A variety of sites are available for E-waste drop off.  Fees apply at some drop offs. Call site for more information. HWMA also periodically offers free E-Waste collection events. Click here for our next event or call (707) 441-2005.
