Solid waste is $104.73 per ton (rounded to nearest quarter), with a minimum charge of $10.00 up to 180 lbs.
Greenwaste is $60.00 per ton, with a minimum charge of $6.00 up to 200 lbs.
Asbestos is $104.73 per ton (rounded to the nearest quarter) with a minimum charge of $10.00 up to 180 lbs.
PLEASE READ THE RULES ON ASBESTOS BEFORE DUMPING
Freon appliances are $24.00, non-freon appliances (water heaters, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers etc...) are $19.00 and TV's/monitors are $15.00. All these items must be taken to the recycling center, not the transfer station.
Tire fees are determined by tire size. Rims are extra.
DIRECTIONS TO THE EUREKA TRANSFER STATION
Going South?
If you are traveling south on 101 (from Arcata or Mckinleyville) drive about half way through Eureka to West Hawthorne Street. Motel 6 and Village Pantry will be on the right just before West Hawthorne Street. Turn right on Hawthorne towards the bay. If you have passed Harbor Lanes and Les Schwab on Hwy. 101 then you have gone too far.
Heading North?
If you are traveling north on 101 (from Fortuna or Ferndale), drive past the Bayshore Mall stoplights to West Hawthorne Street. This is just before the next set of stoplights. Turn left on West Hawthorne, going towards the bay. Hawthorne is the street just after Harbor Lanes bowling alley. If you drive past Motel 6 on Hwy. 101 you have gone to far.
