Humboldt…too good to waste

Humboldt Waste Management Authority – Update During COVID-19 Virus Response

**PLEASE NOTE** The Eureka Recycling Center has reopened for all services EXCEPT for CRV-Buyback. More information may be found below.

HWMA is implementing measures to assist with the efforts to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The changes below are in effect until further notice. Please monitor our website for future updates.

Under Governor Newsom’s “Stay At Home” Order issued Thursday, March 19th, and consistent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, solid waste collection and disposal are considered critical infrastructure for our communities and are an essential business. By making adjustments to our operations, we are able to serve the public consistent with recommended practices.

The below measures taken at our facilities are implemented to protect employees, contractors and customers. Staff will continue to evaluate additional procedures as needed. Help us by practicing social distancing, good hygiene and avoid visiting our facility if you don’t feel well.
